“Daniel
Mak has been associated with our congregation for more than two years,
I have been impressed by many aspects of his character. His
desire to better himself in every way through study and other means is
commendable as are his persistence and courage in pursuing his studies
in his second language. … I have observed in him a growing
passion to serve God and the church, particularly in the area of
financial administration and stewardship but also in humble service in
other areas. His enthusiasm and conscientiousness are of the
highest caliber and I have found his personal integrity to be of the
first order. Daniel recently conducted a most comprehensive
audit
of our church’s finances and administration, and his report will
enable us to streamline many of our procedures and bookkeeping methods
… His commitment to detail and conscientiousness in this process
were outstanding.
In
all
the time I have known him, Daniel’s character and integrity have
been beyond reproach and I have no hesitation in recommending him to
you.”

“I
have known Daniel since early in 2003, … that was the beginning
of a great friendship. Over the past year or so, I have had
many
opportunities to observe his way of life and see how he deals with the
good as well as with the difficult things that come along. As
a
result of these observations, I can say a number of things about him:
He
is,
fist and foremost, a committed Christian who lives by the ethics and
morality of that way of life. He is truthful, honest and
faithful. When one has him as a friend, one knows that it is
a
lifetime commitment for him. He is an honest Christian man
who
knows that life is much more than church going. He puts into
practice the ethics and morality of his beliefs: truth, honesty and
accuracy. He is a fine example of leadership in the context
of
his life and work and he serves his clients well.
Second,
Daniel is a tireless worker who is not afraid to put in the hours that
are needed to produce a standard of excellence in his work.
The
effort he makes on behalf of others, particularly in the work he does
in an honorary capacity, is quite exemplary. As one would
expect,
the standard of his work in his professional life is very high.
Third,
Daniel is a great entrepreneur. He began his own business
recently and has shown a great ability in making sure that every step
of the ownership process has been completed accurately.
Fourth,
Daniel is generous. He freely puts time and resources into
those
places and organizations where he can be most effective. He
does
not waste his resources on incidental things or where circumstances are
unimportant.
Finally,
Daniel’s professional life as an Accountant – the way he
conducts business and the way he deals with clients – shows me
that he is efficient, accurate and puts the interests of his clients
first.
I
have no hesitation in recommending him to you.”

“I
have known Daniel for the past two years, during which time I have
observed his conduct in both a professional and social
setting. I
am impressed with Daniel genuine concern for people and desire to
assist and contribute positively to their lives.
He
has
been of great assistance to us in our work with disadvantaged women and
children in the Developing World. Daniel has assisted us with
our
accounting procedures, providing financial analysis and strategic
planning for our organization.
As
a
trained accountant, holding associate membership with …, Daniel
has developed and shown a tremendous capacity to comprehend and
interpret our not-for-profit corporate culture and style of
operation. I have observed Daniel to be a methodical and
lateral
thinker, prepared to take a proactive approach when engaging and
working with his clients.
I
unreservedly offer my support and recommendation of Daniel as a
competent financial accountant, and as a personable individual who is
interested in the well-being of others.” |

“I

Church and the Director of SAILS, a program involved with seriously at
risk youngsters.
I
have
known Daniel for almost two years through Church and the SAILS
Ministry. Whether in a Professional or Social setting, I have
observed Daniel to be of the highest integrity.
Daniel
is the auditor for SAILS and for the Gold Coast North Anglican
Church. His integrity, level of competency and knowledge of
our
organizations operation and culture are second to none.
In
all
the time, I have known Daniel, his character, competency and integrity
have been beyond reproach and I unreservedly offer my recommendation
and support to his endeavour to serve God and the Church community

“Daniel
first approached me over the phone around … seeking the services
of a qualified tax lawyer, with the view of creating a business
referral arrangement. Daniel indicated to me that he had
started
his own accounting business around … months ago in the Gold
Coast region. He said that he was finding that his clients
required specific needs in relation to the different aspects of
business planning and structuring, particularly in the use of various
types of trust arrangements. He realized that he had to
engage
the services of a solicitor who specialized in the field of taxation
and trusts. Daniel said he was also concerned that the
solicitor
should have the right care and level of expertise that Daniel delivers
to his own clients. I was impressed with Daniel’s
enthusiasm over the phone and this led to us having a two hour meeting
in our Brisbane office. During this time Daniel explained to me the
qualifications he had earned, the plan he was developing for his
business and the clientele he was now attracting. From this
meeting I was able to obtain clear instructions regarding a complicated
structure involving the establishment of no fewer than seven entities
(including a hybrid unit trust, a service trust, a family trust and
three corporate trustees and one corporate beneficiary).
Daniel’s second referral to me has been in relation to a client
of his which plans a business acquisition. I met with Daniel
and
his client at our Brisbane office. Subsequent to this
meeting,
Daniel and I have discussed an implementation plan for a new trust
structure to acquire the business and arrangements in relation to
Daniel taking over the accounting obligations of this business from the
previous accountants. Daniel’s third referral to me was in
relation to the acquisition of shares and units in a unit trust
structure for one of his clients. I worked with Daniel in
relation to the preparation of necessary transfer documentation and
certain advice about the procedure for this transaction.
Together
Daniel and I provided this transaction to the satisfaction of the
client.
In
relation to the three matters that Daniel has referred to me, we have
developed a very good rapport. Further, from my perspective,
as a
solicitor assisting him in his transactions, I am able to obtain good
written and verbal instructions and arrange useful meetings with Daniel
and his clients. I have found Daniel to be enthusiastic and
passionate about what he does. I have not come across any
issue
in relation to my dealings with Daniel Mak which give rise to any
concerns about his ability to conduct his practice as an accountant or
as a registered tax agent.”

“…we
have engaged the services of Mr Daniel Mak of Daniel Mak &
Associates as our company accountant since 1 July 2004, and we already
have found Mr Mak to be very professional in comparison to the last
accountants we had so far.
Mr
Mak
has proven that his services … to be meticulous and his
presentation of the management report is in accordance with the high
standard and quality of a true qualified accountant, which sadly is
absent with previous Practices. Mr Mak also ensures that we,
as
his clients, keep updated records and that our files are maintained in
accordance with the laws and regulations of the Australian Government
offices.
We
have no hesitation in recommending Mr Daniel Mak as a reliable,
efficient and qualified accountant who look after his client.” |
